Teachers do so much to prep their classrooms and get ready for the school year. I know first hand how much work goes into the beginning of the year (former teacher here!) And while germs are an inevitable part of a classroom, there are definitely things teachers like to have on hand to help minimize the spread of things – keeping our kids and themselves a little healthier during the school year.
But after the supplies have been purchased, a lot of which are out of pocket for a teacher, sometimes those wellness items may not on the list. School supplied tissues are not the best quality – so, a gift that a teacher and kids can benefit from all year is great.
I included a little gift tag that sums up our wellness gift. You can print it for yourself HERE [Link to PDF Printable]
So what did I include in our wellness basket?
Kleenex®
With the value you get with the three-pack, you can really help your teacher stock-up! Kleenex® Brand Ultra Soft™ Facial Tissue are 3-ply with the strength and softness* (among national brands) perfect for a classroom!
Clorox®
Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are the #1 Trusted Wipe by Teachers* because they kill 99.9% of germs on hard non-porous surfaces when used as directed. I used these to wipe down surfaces that I know had a lot of contact during the day – and my own desk and items. Little hands touch everything – and having a supply of these is great!

BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages
From paper cuts to minor ouches, BAND-AID® Brand SKIN-FLEX™ Bandages are amazing. We’ve been using these for a while and they feature new MotionMax Technology, so the bandages expand and contract for the ultimate skin-like fit. It’s like you’re not wearing one. And with small kids, they have a 24-hour hold that lasts even through handwashing. They hold up incredibly well! As a teacher, I always had a supply of these for bandaids from home that fall off, or minor little boo-boos that are distracting to small kids! Use as directed.
Add these items in with some other wellness and teacher favorite items.
I included:
- A new mug and an herbal immunity tea
- Lip Balms
- A new set of marker pens / fine tip. These are great for all that paperwork and grading!
- Desk sign
- Notepad
- Mini Chalkboard Dry Erase Board – perfect for hanging from the door to say “shh, testing” or “Welcome!” on a parent visitation day!
For myself at home, I’m doing my part by stocking up on the essentials that I need to keep my kids well!
We love Zarbee’s® brand and the Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Cough Syrup + Mucus works so well. These are safe & effective, with no artificial sweeteners, flavors or dyes. Made with English Ivy Leaf extract, vitamin C, zinc and natural dark honey, you can feel assured giving them to your kids. Use as directed.
Children’s TYLENOL®
Tried and true. Children’s TYLENOL Oral Suspension is a staple in our home. It is the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Brand and Used by Moms for Over 50 Years. Aside from that, I like it because it reduces pain and fever while being gentle on kids. Use as directed.
We use Walmart Online Grocery Service. You can check if it is available in your area, but it’s a game-changer! It’s so convenient, easy and we save money. I shop online, add it all to my cart, checkout and pickup. The app even lets the store know when you’ve arrived, bringing the groceries right out to your car. Done and done.
