A great baby gift is one that combines thoughtful with necessity! And that’s what I created a recent baby gift I put together for a friend. I created a bath-themed gift basket along with a keepsake baby gift – a monogram shadow box using the first letter of the baby’s name. It turned out so cute and is SUPER easy to make. (Tutorial is below!)
It feels like just yesterday that my ‘babies’ were babies. And when I think back to the products that I associated with baths, baby care and gentle cleaning – I think of JOHNSON’S® products. So, I decided to make sure I chose the newly reformulated JOHNSON’S® Baby products as part of my gift basket. The products are made from 90% naturally derived ingredients and 100% gentle, free of parabens and phthalates. Overall, there are 50% fewer ingredients – and that’s important to me – making for simpler and gentler products, that I actually still use with my younger ones. (I mean, tangle-free is a necessity — and it works!) One of the things I also love about the products is the packaging – with a pump top that helps when you have your hands full!
For the gift, I included the new JOHNSON’S® Baby COTTONTOUCH™ Wash – which is specially designed for a newborn’s delicate skin. I also included my favorites – Bedtime® Bath and No More Tangles 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner.
I included foam bath toys, a cute towel, a baby teether and the JOHNSON’S® Baby products. I also included a keepsake monogram shadow box with “E” letter for the baby’s first name. This project is SO simple and you can customize it any way you like.
Supplies needed:
Wooden Letter (7 inch or smaller if you want to do the full 3 letter monogram)
Shadow Box (size of choice)
Fabric Tape (design and colors of choice)
Embellishments (I chose flowers to match the tape)
Hot Glue Gun
To make:
Start by covering your letter with the fabric tape. This is a simple way to get a nice, textured – fabric look.
Open shadow box and place letter where you’d like it – securing with Hot Glue Gun.
Add embellishments with hot glue gun or sometimes pins are included.
Allow to dry and close.
This gift looks super cute on a shelf in a baby’s room, on a wall or decor on a side table or dresser in a baby’s room. You can use any colors, add any embellishments to match the decor of the baby’s room, etc.
Looking for the new JOHNSON’S® Baby products – look no further than your local Albertsons stores. I shop at ACME. How great that you can pick up groceries and baby products, all in one-stop.
