We all know that a bad morning can spill over into the rest of your day – and that’s no coincidence. Taking control of your mornings can lead to a better day. Period. These 5 steps will help you develop a good morning routine leading to better, more productive days. Wake up early enough to do all of these things and you’re guaranteed to have a good day. Remember that new routines (especially in the morning) take time to develop into habit, but keep at it consistently and your morning routine will pay off. See how Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles® breakfast cups are probably the most important step (see below) in getting your day going! And if you think you don’t have time for a protein-rich breakfast, you’ll be amazed with how easy it is!
5 Steps : Simple Morning Routine
Wake Up (and actually get up)
Do not hit snooze on that phone. We all know how that goes. Get up when your alarm goes off, make your bed, open the blinds. That feeling that you just want to go back to sleep WILL go away and you’ll find yourself wanting to start your day after making this practice habit.

Self-Care
This is different for everyone – maybe it’s coffee right away. Some people like to walk the dog first thing, do yoga, shower right away. Find your thing and take care of yourself – waking up early enough to accomplish this.
Morning Organization
You wouldn’t leave for a trip without packing or creating an itinerary, so don’t leave for your day without one either! Create a plan for your day – whether that is a simple list on your phone, review of the calendar, or a daily planner sheet, you’ll be more productive if you spend 5 minutes confirming the tasks, schedule and agenda items for the day. I love this daily planner that I created a while back. You can print it out, 3 hole-punch and create yourself a planner or just use when you need it. Feel free to grab a copy – print and use at your convenience! Enjoy!
Drop Station
Have a location where you start to gather the things you need for the day. If kids are involved, a backpack station, lunchbox station and a place for your own belongings. It’s great if you have space and it can all be in one location (like a mudroom, breezeway or foyer). Try to plan the night before, too, by having shoes and clothes ready-to-go, bags packed, important documents or items to take with you. If it is all in one location, you’re more likely to have an easier time getting out of the house.

Eat Breakfast
This is probably the most important step of all. A good breakfast will kick off your day, but can kick-off good eating, too. For a better breakfast, I like Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles® breakfast cups. This meal is the real-deal. You can make it in minutes, but it’s like a weekend breakfast on a hectic weekday morning. Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles® breakfast cups consist of two real eggs, cheese, sausage, and bacon. All you have to do is pour in the eggs, microwave, and enjoy! There’s no pans to clean and you can be out the door ready to begin the day! A quick meal without sacrificing taste or quality.

You can easily find them at your local Walmart in the refrigerated section. Need to make your schedule even lighter? I love using Walmart’s online grocery option to order what I need, pick-up and DONE!
