When you travel with kids (in my case, usually 3 kids and a dog, too!), vacations can be hectic. While we always try to make the most of any vacation, there are some that stand out as hits or misses. Vacations we take on Cape Cod are always a hit with our entire family. I can honestly say that everyone, even the dog, loves it there. It offers us a chance to spend time together, recharge and have fun. We always rent homes so that we can enjoy the downtime after a long day of sightseeing, shopping or visiting the beach. Having the comforts of a home is something that makes a vacation more easy-going.
With the rental home pictured above (Chatham Village), we had all the amenities that let us truly relax — an outdoor shower, patio, grilling and fire pit. Added to that, it was beautifully decorated and well-maintained. I never wanted to leave – and that’s what vacations should feel like!
Chatham Village, where we stayed is quaint and beautiful with amazing shopping and restaurants. Our family loves being able to take walks into town to eat dinner, get morning coffee or just stroll and take in the sights, sounds and lovely homes.
The beaches are beautiful and if you can tolerate some Great White Shark sightings, then you’ll enjoy yourself. Our kids love hitting the beach.

Nauset Beach, Orleans, MA
With three kids, it can get costly to constantly hit the snack shack while on the sand, so I’m always sure to pack some of our favorite snacks, like Cape Cod® Potato Chips and Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzels.
By purchasing these two varieties, I have something for everyone!
Sharing great taste and great times with family is important – and we can snack better together knowing that these varieties of products are made from simple, high-quality ingredients.
Our Cape Cod potato chips even tied into one of our destinations — Nauset Light.
The Nauset Light is in Eastham, MA and has a history worth reading about here.
It is the lighthouse depicted on the Cape Cod potato chips bag.
My kids thought it was the greatest thing ever to see the lighthouse that is on their favorite snack. Nauset Light is beautiful – and the preservation of it and the lightkeepers house is impressive – both were moved in order to save it from the eroding cliff line where they both stood.
