Fitting in Your Workout #HealthWarriorWay

There’s no doubt about it, the warmer weather brings a busier schedule for me and my family. I feel like we are always on-the-go with baseball practice, soccer, dance class, school events and more. And now that the school year is ending, there seem to be more birthday parties, family get-togethers, and outdoor events.

Fitting in my workout – a walk or run takes some preparation – can sometimes be tough. Here are a few things I do to ensure I’m ready to workout whenever I can fit it in.

  • Keep a gym bag in the car with clothes, sneakers and a change of clothes. Stock it with basic toiletries like deodorant, body spray and other things you like to have post-workout.
  • Your phone will always be with you, but download music software to be able to play your favorite playlist for when you hit the pavement. Keep headphones in your bag, too!  (See below for a share of my favorite summer running playlist!)
  • Make sure you keep water with you during the warmer months, so you’ll always have a way to hydrate after your workout.
