Blue Glitter Ocean Slime | End of School Year Gift

Schools out for summer! Your kiddos may already be out of school or they are gearing up for summer vacation. These ocean slime bags, made with blue glitter slime and fish and ocean shapes are the perfect gift to give a class, friends or even as a party favor to celebrate the start of summer.

My twin daughters’ recently had their 5th birthday party with friends and they had an ocean theme. It went hand in hand with the fact that school is out really soon! And while I’m sad to see them grow up so quickly (Kindergarten in the fall! *wipes tear*), they are excited to get their vacation underway! For favors, we gave out ocean stickers, sunglasses, and bubbles. I also made this blue glitter slime and bagged it up so that everyone could take home their own ‘bag of ocean and fish.”  They turned out really cute – complete with labels and twine to complete the look.

To make the slime, you only need 2 ingredients, plus clear gift bags, twine, labels and fish shapes.

You’ll need blue glitter glue and NEW sulfate free all® fresh clean ESSENTIALS®. You could certainly use clear glue, add your own glitter and blue food coloring. Works the same!

Full disclosure, you need to work in small batches (a small bowl at a time) and you will need to get your hands dirty.

Once you’ve added your glue to the bowl, add a teaspoon of all® fresh clean ESSENTIALS®.   You’ll want to mix thoroughly and then continue adding it one drop at a time.

Once you start to see the slime taking on a uniform consistency – you’ll want to start to knead it in your hands. Your goal is to get that slime consistency that does not stick to your fingers.  Once you have the consistency, add it to a clear plastic bag. Add in small fish and ocean creatures.

Tie off with twine and add your label. I loved these cute labels I found online. You can make your own or find plenty of free printables online.

Note: I always encourage my kids to play with this outside or on a plastic play mat, as I’m not sure what will happen if it ends up on upholstery or carpets. I suspect it would not be the easiest to clean, given the glitter!

More about all ® sulfate free

NEW sulfate free all® fresh clean ESSENTIALS® delivers a powerful clean without harshness.  It’s a sulfate-free formula that uses proven, effective ingredients for deep cleaning and stain lifting! What I love about it and why I chose it for this project was that the ingredients are included on the back of the bottle. You know what’s going into your family’s laundry (and this slime!) It is one of the first laundry detergents to put ingredients out there for consumers – and that’s important.

The product is new to stores and can be found on the top shelf in the laundry aisle at your local Walmart. You can find the fragrance free and fresh scent varieties.

Get this coupon for $1.50 off one (1) all® fresh clean ESSENTIALS®  Offer is valid while supplies last  – May 1- July 31

Share with me: How are you celebrating the end of school with your kids? Do you appreciate knowing what’s in your laundry detergent’s ingredients?
