Spring Weekend Trip Essentials : What to Pack

Apr 02, 2017 Stephanie

Think spring with these weekend trip essentials from Boscov’s. This post is sponsored by Boscov’s through my participation in a campaign with Blog’s Meets Brand. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As a mom, a lot of the little travel I do (alone – without kids) is usually short weekend trips. I honestly love weekend trips so much more than a full week of travel. Most of the times, the proximity is closer (no airports, no lines, no long, exhausting trips) and I can maximize the rest/relaxation. The other thing I love about weekend trips is the packing. It’s so much easier to plan what to pack for a few days rather than a week.  For me, I love getting new things when I go away – and Boscov’s is the place to go to score amazing deals on all those essentials.

Inspired by a lot of the blue trends this season (Pantone Lapis Blue – color trend for spring 2017), I picked up some weekend trip essentials that I can pack in my brand new weekender bag, which is where you should start.

Making Packing Easy

Get a great weekender tote that can also double as your bag while on vacation. The Jersey weekender bag by Madden Girl (featured below) is flexible and easy to carry as a tote, too. It’s a great way to lighten your load.

Accessorize

Great accessories can elevate a plain outfit and take it from day to night.

The Right Shoes

Choose shoes that can go from day to evening, too! These Aerosoles Plush Pillow sandals are really kind on your feet while looking great. There are no straps (only fabric) to dig into the front of your feet / toes so you can wear them by day and night. These were, by far, my favorite purchase from Boscov’s.

Go Wrinkle Free

Choose materials that pack well – and won’t require ironing. This Chevron Maxi Dress folds up easily, takes up little space and doesn’t wrinkle! You can literally toss it in the bag. Combine this with a cardigan or jacket and you can create different looks on your short trip.

 Mix and Match Pieces

Choose pieces that are easy to mix and match throughout your trip.

The blue stripe cold shoulder top works great with the bright capris but also looks perfect with a white skirt or shorts.

Shopping at Boscov’s is a great experience – and you always know you’re going to maximize every dollar. The sales associates are amazingly helpful – and the store is so well organized. With every department possible, there’s nothing Boscov’s doesn’t have. Most importantly, it’s the name brands, designs,  trends and quality that you want – at a price that is unbeatable.
