For the most part, my kids have always loved bathtime. My twin girls are four and they are still in love with the bath! I tell them it’s time and they race to the bathroom. My son, on the other hand, is now 7 and will whine at bit at the notion of bath or shower time. The tips below help to keep bathtime stress-free and fun.
Keep a Routine
When kids know what to expect, it’s a lot easier to get them to do what you’re asking. My kids love bathtime but they often don’t want to come away from the things they are doing to take the bath. Keeping bathtime consistent helps them know what to expect and how much time they’ll have. I remind them that if they want some time to play or read before bed, they need to stick to the bath schedule. Makes things a whole lot easier!
Make it Fun
The right kind of bath products are everything! Suave Kids has a brand new line of products that helps to celebrate the fun and adventure in bath time. With the Suave Kids Disney Star Wars collection, bath time can be more epic!
All you have to do is mention Star Wars and this kid is front and center – ready to join in. He came prepared for this bath time with his mask after seeing the BB-8 3-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash in Galactic Fresh.
We also tried the Disney Star Wars Kylo Ren 3-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash in Hyperspace Apple. Both of these are awesome to a kid, but to parents, too! They are dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested to keep things tear-free with fun, fresh scents.

Simplify Things
The Suave Kids Disney Star Wars collection will help simplify bath-time, too! The 3-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash cleans hair while leaving skin soft and smooth. One simple step! I love the easy-to-use 28 oz. pump bottle – no hard to open caps and kids can do it themselves. Plus, with a size like that, we have plenty on hand for lots of baths.
Set the Scene
Have fun with decor in your bathroom. An interesting shower curtain, bath mat or bath prints on the walls. We have a bathroom that is the kids’ bathroom – which can make this easier – but you can still add stuff to the bathroom to spark the fun!
You can download this FREE Watercolor Bath Time print for your bathroom wall. I made it to have something to brighten things up in their bathroom and add a little color. My son likes the blue bubbles, but I also have one that includes pinks and purples.
Take your pick!

Encourage Independence
Take the drama out of the hair washing by encouraging them to do it themselves. I taught my kids earlier rather than later how to wash and rinse their hair. Same goes for drying off after the bath and dressing. My son is just starting to get into how his hair looks – at 7, it’s too cute. The Disney Star Wars Stormtrooper Styling Gel in Tropical Storm is perfect for him. It adds the style without all that yucky.
You can find the Suave Disney collections at Walmart and Target as well as mass, grocery, drug and value retailers nationwide. (SRP for products is $4.99).
