Back to School Dry Erase Morning Checklist

Linen Spray (5)

One of the best things about summer is the easier mornings. Reality is, the busy AM routine will soon return this back-to-school season. With three little ones to get ready and get out the door on time, I’m giving my soon-to-be 7-year-old more responsibility in the mornings. He can be all over the place in the morning, so I knew I needed to give him some sort of checklist that he could easily check-off each task on.

DIY Dry Erase Board

What You Need:

Picture Frame

Scrapbook Paper  or Fabric of Choice

Dry Erase Marker

To Make:

Simply take all inserts out of your frame and cut your fabric or scrapbook paper to size. The glass of the frame becomes your dry erase surface, so be sure to choose a color/design for your paper that will allow what is written on the glass to show up.

You can use this type of dry erase board for anything. To use it for a morning checklist, choose the most important tasks so the list isn’t so daunting. You can print tasks on the paper below the glass or write the tasks in dry erase. My goal for this checklist is to help my son build some responsibility for himself in the morning. It also gives me some more time to focus on my 4 year old twins and hopefully leave the house on-time.

Bathroom Organization

Make sure you also keep an organized bathroom. I like to have a bin or caddy for each child. It’s easy to grab and go whether the child is completing the tasks alone or with your help. Keep your bathroom well-stocked, especially with Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® (Mega Rolls).

These mega rolls will help you from having to refill the roll all the time – with 4 more sheets, these 4 in 1 mega rolls are the best way to keep the bathroom stocked. These rolls are designed to give you more – a small update to your bathroom with a mega impact.

You can find these Quilted Northern Mega Rolls at Target – just look for the endcap display. To make things even easier and to save yourself even more time, use the Target Subscription service. Your staple items are delivered right to you on a regular basis. It doesn’t get easier than that!
