When I think of spring, I think of color and there’s no better way to bring color into a party or event than with a signature drink. This Lemon-Lavender Blackberry Float can be made as a float – which is fun for guests to make themselves. Or you can serve the mixture of Canada Dry® Blackberry Ginger Ale & Lavender over ice as a refreshing, bubbly drink!
The spring season becomes a marathon of events that lasts all the way to the summer – birthdays, celebrations, Mother’s Day and more. Simple spring events can be as easy as a pretty banner, colorful straws, accessories and a signature drink that everyone can enjoy. A fun signature drink would be a Lemon Lavender & Blackberry Float made with Canada Dry® Blackberry Ginger Ale, lemon sorbet, blackberries and lavender syrup.
To prepare the lemon sorbet, start by placing blackberries at the bottom of a muffin tin. Scoop lemon sorbet into each – and freeze for 1 hour. This will be what your guests can scoop into their drink to make the float.
Then, each guest can follow the easy steps to create their delicious Lemon Lavender & Blackberry Float.
Step 1: Add Canada Dry® Blackberry Ginger Ale – allow room, as the drink will “fizz up” when you add the lemon sorbet/blackberries.
Step 2: Add Lavender syrup
Step 3: Scoop Lemon Sorbet/Blackberry frozen mixture into cup – allow to fizz!
Step 4: Garnish with a lavender coated lemon wedge and straw.
Hostess Tip: Paper straws are such a fun way to add color to your parties – and make any drink look more polished!
This float has such a unique flavor and a beautiful color that everyone will love. Perfect for any spring party or affair – it will be a hit with everyone.
Hostess tip: Keep it simple: A pretty fabric banner, flowers, a drink station and easy serve yourself appetizers and hors d’oeuvres are all you need for a complete party – without breaking the bank or doing a ton of work!
