All you need is tea. And good friends and conversation. A small get-together to enjoy tea and good company is how I’d consider time well-spent. And it doesn’t need to be complicated at all. Simplicity is best and with the new Lipton teas I recently had the chance to try out (and serve), it was made even easier.
Lipton’s new black, herbal and green teas will make your tea-time even better. Lipton’s new black and herbal varieties and improved green teas refresh the tea experience with bold and stimulating flavors. Tea time is bolder, more unique and refreshed. The updated green teas have a light, fresh taste and a brighter, more clear color allowing you to enjoy a more uplifting and refreshing flavor.

I was inspired by these new flavors, particularly the herbal, fruit flavors. It inspired me to serve these delicious unique teas to friends but also to create a simple sweet treat that would pair well.
To keep things simple, I paired a favorite pound cake with a raspberry-lemon and almond mixture. It’s the right balance and compliments the tea so well. Plus, hosting couldn’t get more simple than this to put together.
To make: simply combine fresh raspberries, sliced almonds, lemon zest along with a drizzle of agave syrup or honey. Top your favorite pound cake or angel food cake with the fruit and nut mixture.
I put out my boxes of Lipton for everyone to choose a new flavor – and pulled some of my favorite mugs, linens and plates in some fresh, spring blues/aqua.
A chalkboard sign, flowers and a cloth napkins round out my party display.
Tip: Want to dress up a plain table on a budget – grab a roll of wrapping paper you have on hand. I chose this blue and white design to add a splash of color to my table. Bonus – clean up is a cinch!
