This post features a water tracker printable for kids and Pedialyte. I have been compensated by Pedialyte for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.
Anyone with little kids knows that it can be difficult to get them to do what you want them to do – especially when it comes to hydration. Since they’re so active, I know that they need more hydration at times. Factor in a cold or flu and I get worried about them getting the right amount of water.
Hydration helps your body work correctly, but when you’re sick, it can be easy to lose vital fluids. So, when my kids need more fluids, we choose Pedialyte. It is the #pediatrician-recommended oral electrolyte solution and can help prevent mild to moderate dehydration. Pedialyte has just enough sugar in balance with sodium to promote fluid absorption more effectively than common household beverages. What I love is that it comes in many flavors with children and adults in different forms and sizes – liquid, powder packs and even freezer pops – making it hydrate at home or on the go.
When dealing with preschoolers, I find that you’ll get a lot more cooperation when you make it fun and engaging – vs. telling them to drink more water.
This fun water chart is a great way to track water intake and make it into a fun process!
We purchase our Pedialyte powder packs from Walmart – right in the baby section. Super easy to find and pick up when I’m shopping!
