Easy Homegating Party Ideas

Homegating Party Ideas

Who is ready for some football? We enjoyed a lot of fall tailgating at the stadium cheering on our favorite NYC team – and we can’t wait to bring that tailgating home for the big game. If you’re planning any big game parties – you know how much work it can take. But a good homegating party doesn’t have to be complicated or leave you in the kitchen the entire time. The recipe for an easy party is appetizers, pizza and something fun for dessert. That’s all there is to it.

DiGiorno Boxes

That’s why you’ll find me buying up all the DIGIORNO® Original Rising Crust® pizza from my grocery store before I host our hungry crew.  Like a play that works every time, DIGIORNO® Original Rising Crust® pizza has a fresh-baked taste that can only come from your oven. In about 20 minutes, you have crust that rises to perfection, and delicious toppings. You can be confident that you’re making the right call by serving DIGIORNO to your guests on game day.

Putting Your Party Together

I buy a few varieties of DIGIORNO® pizzas so that there is something for everyone. Since they bake up hot and fresh, you can make one or two at a time – as you need them. Although it’s highly unlikely there will be any leftover!  Our favorite – the Supreme!

With DIGIORNO® as the MVP of your party, you can focus on other fun ways to make your party shine.

One thing I like to do is set up an easy Italian Cream Soda Bar. Everyone loves this! The kids like it, the adults LOVE it and it’s a fun addition to your party.

All you need is club soda, flavoring syrups of choice, half and half, ice, and some whipped cream. Your guests can make these up super quick and easily – customizing how creamy, bubbly or sweet! So fun!

Accessorize your party with a fun banner – you could do team colors or keep it general with a rag-tie banner like this. These are super simple to make with strips of fabric, twine and burlap. I borrowed this handmade one from a friend – and wish I could claim credit for her awesome work.

Include fun accessories like themed straws, a dry erase board which could share your support for your favorite team!

For Some Fun

Ahead of the Big Game, Clay Matthews will star in a series of new videos, “Annoying Party Guests,” to coach you through winning big with your game day experience! In the series, Clay Matthews joins social media stars DeStorm Power, Colleen Evans and Ray William Johnson in a hilarious look at how to #maketherightcall at game day gatherings.

I like that you made your Italian sodas in mason jars. This looks way more fun and festive than regular cups. I think I definitely want to host a party similar to this, so I appreciate all of your applicable tips. Do you have any ideas about where I should buy my flavored syrups for the sodas? Thank you!
