Last summer we got our kids a dog and it has been a fantastic experience – for them, for us, for the whole family. With the holidays almost here, Big Lots is helping me to make sure we don’t forget about Oliver when it came to presents. It was one of the first things my kids asked about their new best friend….would I make sure Santa would bring Oliver presents, too?
I promise you, he’s a happy dog! He’s just a bit of a diva when the camera comes out. Suddenly, he gives me a miserable look or just looks away. Even so, we love him! A trip down the pet aisle at Big Lots is all I need to do to get some extra fun stuff to pamper Oliver!
With Big Lots, you’ll find the name brands that you trust, which is so important when you’re feeding and caring for your dog. In fact, this is part of Big Lot’s promise. Their Pillar of Value is a promise to provide their customers with products that deliver on Quality, Brand, Fashion and Value. All the best brands, with the quality I expect, on-trend fashions – all at the best values.
On this trip, I decided to pick up all of the stuff below for Oliver — a new sweater, a water and food bowl, a new toy, treats and a jar for his treats. I had been wanting to get labeled food and water bowls to help my kids with feeding him. I also wanted a jar for his treats, rather than keep them in bags. When I saw these items at Big Lots, I decided to do an easy DIY.
I decided on this airtight glass container and simply labeled it with waterproof stickers that will stand up to handwashing.
In addition, I chose these stainless steel bowls and labeled each Food and Water.
I also picked up a cutting board with skid proof bottom – it’s a nice wipeable surface that I can clean spills up off and it better matches the kitchen. It also elevates the bowls a bit. The bowls are skid proof, too, so nothing will be slipping!
Along with all this, he also loves his new toy and sweater. It’s not even Christmas yet and Oliver is feeling pretty pampered! I’ll be visiting Big Lots again to get him a new bed and more toys to open on Christmas morning!
As you can tell, he’s a pretty happy AND WARM puppy — I think he loves his new sweater….or not 🙂 Don’t let the puppy dog eyes fool you – he’s a happy, friendly little guy! I’m loving that we can pamper him with all our finds at Big Lots.
Find a Big Lots near you and make sure you check everyone off your list this holiday season!
