This post features Road Trip Essentials. Samples of certain products pictured and mentioned below were provided to me for the purpose of this post and photographs. All thoughts are my own.
Soon, kids will be out of school and summer will officially be here. That means more road trips – which are not my favorite. I keep the destination in mind and make sure I keep a well-stocked bag at my feet with just about everything I’ll need for the long drive and some other things to help make the time pass!
A Great PlayList
A great mix of your favorite tunes is worth taking the time to create on your iPod or Smartphone.
Healthy Snacks and Food
Be sure to have a variety of foods and drinks. We like to pack a cooler in the back with cold water, fruit and sandwiches. It can be a great way to steer clear of unhealthy choices at rest area stops. Other things to consider would be dried fruits, nuts, trail mix and snack bars.
Essential Toiletries
Keep wet wipes, paper towels, a bag for garbage and anything else you may want to grab in a pinch. If you have kids, the wet wipes are a MUST, along with bandaids and sunscreen. Be sure to take along any prescription medications and an OTC pain reliever. If a headache or other ache or pain starts to act up, you’ll be able to have some relief while on your trip.
Get Comfy
Take along a blanket or scarf and be sure to wear layers and comfortable shoes. I always bring an extra pair of shoes along with me to change into if I need to get more comfortable.
What are your must-haves when you hit the road?
Stocking your bag can be as easy as visiting your local CVS. Look for the following products, as pictured above:
· CVS Instant Hand Sanitizing Wipes
· CVS Ultra Sheer Lotion Broad Spectrum
· Gold Emblem Abound Dark Chocolate, Fruit & Nut Trail Mix
