At the end of a long day, I need at least one room where I can go to that brings on the calm. That room is my bedroom. My kids really aren’t allowed in there – except when they crawl into bed at night with us, but they know they don’t play in there during the daytime. This leaves it free of mess, toys and kid-debris that litters virtually every other room of our home. I think it’s so important to have that space that helps you forget about the work and stress of a busy life.
When we moved into our home, I knew I wanted a clean, calm feel. I went with blue and white. The walls being blue helps to relax me and the I love the crisp look of all-white bedding. It keeps it simple & classic and I never tire of it.
What I love about this space:
The white…
The blue…
Crisp, simple white bedding.
Tip: When using all-white bedding, combine different textures to give it ‘something more.’
Simple accents …This lamp is my favorite.
My newest addition, a crisp slipcovered white chair. It is here where I sit at night – catch up on emails, write a post or just relax with a cup of tea. I can stay up a bit later and not keep my hubby up with the light near the bed.’
I love my shelf with some precious trinkets and pictures of my littles….
Eventually, I want to replace our carpeting and I do upgrade my white bedding/duvet and sheets but but for now, it’s done. I’m content here. It’s relaxing and makes me happy at the end of a long day.
