Eggo Waffle Bar for Entertaining

I love a going out for brunch – especially when celebrating a special occasion, like a birthday or anniverary. Lately, however, it has been a small challenge to be in a nice restaurant with two-year-old twins.  So, I decided to bring one of my favorite parts of a restaurant brunch home – the waffle bar.   Being able to customize your own waffle is something everyone loves – especially when you use Eggo Waffles.

#EggoWaffleBar #ad

Using our favorite Eggo Waffles, I decided to create a waffle bar for entertaining or a special occasion. The great thing is that the idea is so versatile. You can do this for a simple Saturday morning breakfast for the kids (with less decor, of course!) or create a beautiful set-up for a get-together with friends and family.   No matter what, it is simple, fun and sure to be a hit with everyone.

I started thinking of toppings and decided to go with a Sweet & Savory theme in fresh spring colors. That way, people can take their waffle in either direction – sweet or savory.

This waffle bar looks like it took a lot of time, but using Eggo Waffles kept the prep time down. It looks like I spent hours, when I was done in no time.

#EggoWaffleBar #ad

I was able to prepare my toppings from things I had on hand. No fuss!

#EggoWaffleBar #ad

I chose to use both Homestyle and Buttermilk Eggo Waffles and displayed them in a tiered tray. You can make these as they disappear so everyone has a fresh, hot waffle.

For sweet toppings, I chose things like fruit, yogurt, coconut, chocolate chips and syrups.  I picked up some Frozen fruit at Walmart, where I picked up my Eggo Waffles. The frozen fruit added to the convenience and quick prep time. No chopping!

For savory, choices could include eggs, bacon, cheeses, tomatoes, and more.  Guests might prefer one over the other – or both!

#EggoWaffleBar #ad

Me? I go for sweet!

#EggoWaffleBar #ad

But savory toppings are also delicious!

#EggoWaffleBar #ad

How would you top your waffle? For what occasion would you create your own Eggo Waffle Bar?

You can find Eggo Waffles in the frozen grocery section at Walmart
