New Mom Essentials : Being Prepared with Little Remedies

Feb 28, 2015 Stephanie

Thank you to Little Remedies for sponsoring this post as part of my partnership with them. As always, all thoughts and ideas are my own.

Motherhood is filled with many firsts. From the first time you meet and hold your baby, so begins a journey of many first times. Most are amazing and wonderful – milestones, first smile, first steps, first food…I could go on and on with how wonderful mosts ‘firsts’ are. But some are not so pleasant – and they make up the initiation into motherhood. For example, the first (of many) sleepless night, the first boo-boo or the first time your child gets sick.

That last one, I remember vividly. It can be scary the first time your child gets sick – so being prepared is really important. That’s why I love to give a small new mom gift when I attend a baby shower. In addition to cute clothing or a registry item, I love to give something that will help the new mom survive those first few months. Recently, I had the chance to check out The Little Remedies® New Baby Essentials Kit – and it’s everything a mom needs to stay prepared for the first time her little one gets sick.

This is a great add-on gift for a shower – and you can find it exclusively at Walmart.

Little Remedies has been my choice since my first son was born – and now for my twin girls. The kit has everything you need to safely relieve most common symptoms.  It includes:

Infant Fever/Pain Reliever

Soothing Syrup

Saline Drops

Gripe Water

Gas Relief Drops

Nasal Aspirator

Dosing syringes/dropper

Everything comes neatly packed in a convenient, zippered travel bag. Now, when baby is sick, reaching for this bag will have everything at mom’s fingertips in an instant.

I don’t have kids, but I remember the first time my nephew got sick. My sister was a nervous wreck. He spiked a pretty high fever. It turned out to be something pretty benign, but that first fever is VERY scary.

This is a really great idea. I don’t have children yet but when I do I will want to have a kit like this for sure! All these things my new mama friends always talk about.

This sounds like an excellent kit to keep handy. My first child was healthy as could be, but my second one seemed to always be getting sick!

While I’m not a mom and don’t have kids yet, having these essentials will be very helpful. I like the concept of Little Remedies down to how it’s packed in the zippered travel bag. It makes mommy’s life easier.

The Little Remedies® New Baby Essentials Kit – does seem ideal – the first time my son was teething, he was miserable – and so was I – I didn’t know what was going on!

This is a great little kit. The first time they get a cold you want to try to help them feel a bit better. While these are no cure, I’ll take a little comfort for the little ones.

That’s a really great kit. I’ve got a family member that is expecting and I’ve been trying to get up a gift basket for her with much needed items.
