Are you hosting friends and family for a Big Game Party?  If you’re like me, you don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen missing out on all the football.  I planned out a simple party this year. You’ll love these easy ideas for both food and decor – making it simple to set up so that you can include yourself in the entertaining!

The Party Plan

For my decor, I went simple and inexpensive! I used a large piece of green felt for the tablecloth. My bunting sign was easy to make with letter stickers and some colored twine. I decided to call my table “Concessions” as a nod to the time we spend at the stadium during the football season. I knew my husband would find it funny because he spends so much time getting concessions for our kids when we attend games!

I also made a subway-style sign and some labels for food items.  You can download my football sign at the bottom of this post.

TIP : Making your own signs/labels or using free printables is a great way to save money and customize your party! Your guests will love it and it’s fairly simple to do – while looking like you spent hours planning.

For the food, I started by shopping at Walmart for everything on my list. I love making one stop and having everything I need. Poporn is always popular with my guests, but I wanted to give it a sweet twist and make it easy for everyone to grab some. I decided to use ButterFinger® Peanut Butter Cups Minis to create an amazing sweet treat that will leave guests raving!  These peanut butter cups take the typical PB cups adn make them even better – with the right amount of peanut butter and crunch all mixed in.

To make, start with any type of popcorn. I chose one that was simply salted. Chop 2 cups of Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Minis. I like to chop them unevenely – leaving some pieces bigger, some smaller. #GameTimeMVP #ad Use caramels or caramel bits to melt until smooth. You can do this in a double broiler or in the microwave depending on what kind you choose.  Then combine popcorn, Butterfinger pieces and crispy rice cereal – which works with the Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Minis to give the popcorn a crispy crunch!  Trust me, you’ll LOVE this combination! #GameDayMVP #ad Pour the caramel over your popcorn mix and gently combine. Served in decorated, individual containers. Your guests will thank you. #GameTimeMVP #ad

Perfect Party Meal

In addition to snacks, I wanted to have a meal for my guests, so I picked up a STOUFFER’S® Lasagna with Meat & Sauce-  Party Size! Topped with fresh cheese and aged Parmesan, it’s something everyone will love and it’s easy to prepare. #GameTimeMVP #ad I used baking dishes to divide the tray into individual lasagna servings. #GameTimeMVP #ad Have toppings like cheese, pepper, panko bread crumbs or fresh parsley. Guests can create their own custom topped lasagna bake. #GameTimeMVP #ad I kept the oven on low so we could throw a few in at time, giving everyone a hot, Individual Lasagna Bake!  You can serve these during pre-game coverage and then have snacks during the game or it’s easy enough to do at anytime during your party! Hot Lasagna Bakes #GameTImeMVP #ad Want some other ideas for “concessions” at your football bash?  Think grab & go, with individual bowls of chips/dip, and fries served in their own containers. #GameTimeMVP #ad In addition to the popcorn, I had plenty of other sweet snacks, too! Keeping with the “Concessions” theme, I used Limited Edition Edy’s Touchdown Sundae ice cream to make these cute ice cream cups that everyone will enjoy. #GameTimeMVP #ad It’s also easy to decorate cookies with icing to match colors or mimic some football plays! Keep it simple and keep it fun! #GameTimeMVP #ad To find the food items I used in this party plan, look no further than Walmart. I found them all in the grocery and frozen foods section! #GameTimeMVP #ad
