From a tree-lighting, to home tours and crafts for the kids, our NJ town has so much for families to do during the holiday season. The quaint, small-town charm was the reason we moved here. The town events, some outdoors, are a great opportunity to gather together with friends and family. After a day out in the cold, there’s nothing better than a hot beverage to warm everyone up. I like to do that by setting up a hot-drink station with the Keurig 2.0 brewer. With the ability to brew a single cup or a whole carafe, I can choose from a variety of K-Cup Packs and K-Carafe Packs to make sure I have something for everyone. The self-serve set-up allows everyone the fun of customizing their own beverage.
I had fun with customizing the station with this fun chalkboard-style printable. I’ve seen the ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ signs for beverage stations before and I couldn’t wait to try it out & design one for myself!
{You can download your own HERE}
For the other details, I added some twine to the jars and bottles, along with chalkboard style labels. We had jars full of beverage add-ins or toppings and peppermint stir sticks.
Chocolate Dipped Caramel & Marshmallow Stir Sticks
You can add great flavor to coffee or cocoa with these easy-to-make stir sticks. Simply attach a popsicle stick to marshmallow or caramel. Dip in melted chocolate. You can add sea salt to the caramel if desired or sprinkles to the marshmallows. These also make great gifts! Yum!
Gold Initial Mug
I made each guest their own ‘initial’ mug to use and take home as a favor. Everyone loved it – and we coudl tell the cups apart! I chose to do a gold letter on each white cup and it is SO simple to do. I purchased inexpensive white mugs and used an oil-based gold marker I already had. Choose a letter stencil you like and tape into place very well with a paper tape. This makes it easy to adjust the stencil and remove the tape from the mug.
After each letter was filled in and complete, I let them dry for a full 24 hours. I then baked them for 20 minutes at 350 degrees and allowed to cool in the oven. Still, I always suggest ‘handwash’ on the bottom of the mug. There’s lot of tutorials on DIY mugs and how to do this type of project. This is is what has worked for me.
With the Keurig 2.0 – press one button and you have drink perfection – at a party, beverage station, or at 7:00am when you’re rushing to get your family out the door!
Keurig has 400 varieties of beverages from 60 brands! And with the Brewing Technology™ , the Keurig 2.0 ‘reads’ each lid so you get the perfect brew.
The brewer has a sleek design nd looks great on both my kitchen counter and entertaining tablescape! I absolutely love the digital, touch screen display and the clever cord-hider in the back helps keep my counters or party table clutter free.
You can purchase the Keurig 2.0 Brewer for yourself, or others on your list, at Walmart. I decided to give a Keurig 2.0 brewer to my mom. Like me, she’s always had a Keurig, so I know she’ll love having a carafe as well.
Here is her waiting under the tree – best gift ever.
