Easy Toddler Activity : Cardboard Box Coloring

Cardboard Box Coloring for Toddlers

Finding things for my two-year old twins to do can be a challenge. We try to keep them engaged by rotating their toys – they get tired of them after a while, and take them outside as much as possible. But when they’re in the house and I can’t be right on top of them, they can literally tear apart a room in no-time. Here’s an idea I had recently and it kept them busy for almost an hour!

Big Cardboard Box + Crayons = Coloring Fun

This box was actually big enough that they couldn’t even climb out. Not that I was trying to keep them in there, but I didn’t have to worry about them traveling with the crayons and creating art elsewhere!

They loved coloring all over the sides, floor and box flaps. My five-year old even got in on the fun by coloring the outside and inside of the box, too.
