We love a good party around here, and with three young children, we always have reason to celebrate. From birthdays to christenings, holidays and more, we love entertaining friends and family. Our most recent party was for my son’s 5th birthday. My Sam’s Club Membership helped me to plan a great party – simple and easy – all while saving money and getting everything I needed in one stop.
Party Must-Haves from Sam’s Wholesale Club
1. Party Goods
Whether your party is big or small, it is easy to go through a lot of plates, napkins, cups and utensils – and running out mid-party is not an option. I buy everything from Sam’s Club so that we have plenty on hand.
2. Serveware
Great serveware is a key element at any party. You want your serveware to fit your menu, but also look great with your party theme. While at Sam’s Club shopping for my son’s party, I found two great deals on some new servewear. The first was a 2-pack of glass pitchers. These were beautiful for serving lemon water and iced tea.
I also picked up some serve & storage bowls with colorful bottoms and lids, which made it easy to prep foods ahead.
My son’s godmother, who visited Sam’s Club on this particular shopping trip for the +1 event was pleasantly surprised by how many great finds there were. She hadn’t expected such an extensive home and kitchen department.
3. Plenty of Great Foods and Snacks
Sam’s Club helps me stock up to make the foods my guests love – from snacks to meats for the grill or amazing side dishes. One side-dish that is a staple at my parties is this Vegetable Pasta Salad with a Lemon Viniagrette. It is easy to make and tastes great. I start by stocking up on Daily Chef Garden Rotini and purchase fresh foods from the produce department to make this guest-favorite.
You can find more pictures and the full recipe below for this Vegetable Pasta Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette
4. Finishes for the Home
With some guests staying over, I like to spruce up our home with linens and handtowels. The prices are amazing at Sam’s Club, making it easy to make your guests feel welcome.
5. Favors
My son’s favorite category – he loved shopping the candy aisle to pick out a great favor for his friends. Since it was an end-of-summer party, he chose cotton candy as a fun idea. We were able to get 8 for $5.98 making it a terrific deal.
With personalized tags, they turned out super-cute for our young guests.
6. Color
Sam’s Club has everything you need to bring in great color to your party. My son wanted a particular character to be the theme for his party. While we did have some themed items, I chose to bring in the character’s yellow & blue colors through decor. I picked up fresh flowers from the floral department to bring in the yellow color.
With flowers for any occasion – Sam’s Club makes this an easy way to dress up your table and coordinate colors or themes.
Another quick way to bring in color is to use candy for centerpieces. These gumball centerpieces looked great and everyone enjoyed grabbing a few to take with them or enjoy post-dinner.
My son had a great 5th Birthday – and shopping at Sam’s Wholesale Club allowed me to focus on the important things during my party – like moments like this:
