Father’s Day Gift Idea

My husband can be hard to shop for – so, with Father’s Day fast approaching (this Sunday, the 15th!!) I knew I was running out of time to come up with a gift idea. Luckily for me, I found out about a DVD release that would work out perfectly as part of a great Father’s Day Gift —  the exclusive release of BluRay Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit at Walmart in a 2 Movie Pack.

 First, the Scoop:

I picked up the Walmart exclusive Blu-Ray release of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit  in an Action Movie 2-Pack.  But what makes this deal even sweeter is that you get a second movie, The Italian Job AND $15 off sports tickets at Ticketmaster. Two amazing action movies, a great offer for Ticketmaster – all for $12.96. A more perfect gift for Father’s Day does not exist – and this won’t for long because the deal is only good from Tuesday 6/10 to Saturday 6/14.

For me, this movie was the perfect pick. My husband loves action movies and The Italian Job happens to be one of the first movies we saw together while dating. Perfect duo of movies!

To create my Dad’s Toolkit, I thought up some of my husband’s favorite things and drew  a little inspiration from the main character of the movie, Jack Ryan. When I think of Tom Clancey’s iconic character – he’s sophisticated, intelligent and heroic. In this movie, he’s a covert CIA analyst working to thwart a Russian terrorist plot aimed at destroying the US economy. That’s hard work.

And while there probably isn’t covert operations and international espionage in your guy’s daily life, he probably works hard in his own right. My husband works long hours at the office and then comes home to give his time to our kids, take care of the house and yard, so I decided to fill a toolbox with the movie 2-pack and some new and favorite things.

Shaving essentials will keep him looking his best, while a new electric screwdriver, work gloves and the new toolkit will help him get some repairs done around the house. (I may or may not have a to-do list for him…for after Father’s Day, of course).

Some healthy snacks and a new glass water vessel will help him snack healthy, while a new cover for his phone will help keep his phone protected so he never misses a goodnight call when he’s working late. Simple gifts that are sure to bring a smile to his face this Father’s Day.

Finally, the two movies are a great addition to his DVD collection but also gives us two movie nights to enjoy together. He can get some R&R in while enjoying some of the snacks from his toolkit.

What are your plans for Father’s Day this year?
