I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Brancott Estate Wines. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
When choosing wine, I tend to prefer white wine. I can be pretty picky about the white wines that I choose – as I prefer full-bodied, high quality, flavorful wines. Trying out Brancott Estate Flight Song Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc really surprised me. Why? Because not only are Flight Song Wines crisp, great tasting and full-bodied, they also happen to be 20% lighter in calories. I’ve tried light wines before without much luck. I found most to be lacking in flavor and just ‘missing’ something. With Flight Song Wines from Brancott Estate, the only thing you’ll be missing is some extra calories. The flavor and quality rival some of my most favorite wines. It’s officially my favorite wine for this summer!
Some More Info on Flight Song Wines
These wines are made using grapes that are harvested earlier in the season when the sugar levels in the grapes tend to be lower. This results in a naturally lower calorie wine (20% lower!) without compromising on full-bodied taste, aromatics and quality.
The Sauvignon Blanc is tangy and crisp – perfect as a dinner wine. I paired it with chicken and vegetables and found it held up to complimenting the foods with it’s rich taste. The Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from Brancott Estate is now world renowned for its exceptional full flavor tastes – and this wine follows suit.
The Flight Song Pinot Grigio had hints of guava and peach – a slight sweetness – and I love this as a sipping wine. It’s perfect for enjoying with friends or sitting on the deck, enjoying a quiet evening.
Both of these wines are perfect for summer entertaining or just a relaxing glass at the end of the day. I love that I can enjoy these wines with the added benefit of lower calories.
I haven’t had much success with finding a light wine that tastes good either. These, however, sound fabulous – especially the Sauvignon Blanc. Definitely going to have to give it a try! Thanks!
