After a really long winter, a fun, colorful and spring themed craft was what we needed here to get us thinking of spring. This easy, simple to use craft makes the most adorable flowers from either a child’s hand or foot print.
My kids made these as a gift to send to my grandmother – she loves receiving handmade gifts from them. She simple adores these – and it makes her feel special since she doesn’t get to see the kids all the time.
1. This craft is great on paper. We used an 8×10 canvas. You can find these online for great prices.
2. Do yourself a favor, use washable paint. After doing this project with my little ones, I found a handprint on my cabinets. My one year old, new cabinets. It came right off. I prefer to use Crayola Washable Paint. You want to look for something that is going be solid and colorful.
3. For ticklish feet and hands, put paint onto a paper plate. Allow child to step into or put hand on the spot. Then, transfer their print to the canvas.
Happy (almost) Spring!
