I’m fortunate that my family is pretty healthy. Outside the normal winter illness and preschooler germs, no one has any major or chronic illnesses. Still, we have many prescriptions that I manage. Thankfully, medication refills at Walgreens could not be any easier.
My one-year-old twins and four-year-old son take a daily, prescribed vitamin. In addition, I take a daily medication prescription. Between all of us, someone is always running out of something. Before I switched to Walgreens pharmacy a year ago, refilling prescriptions seemed more complicated. Calling the pharmacy, typing in the number, retyping it when I entered it wrong, and then picking up. Half the time, I would get to the pharmacy and find that my prescription was not ready or they had a question about it and never alerted me. It just didn’t work for my hectic schedule
Family Prescription Management with Walgreens
Walgreens helps me stay on top of my family’s prescriptions with an easy family prescription management tool – I can use it right from my phone on the app or online.
I can refill any of our prescriptions by simply opening my app, scanning the barcode on the bottle and sending it of to the pharmacy. Done.
In addition, I can receive a text alert when my prescription is ready. It takes the guess-work out of when to go and pick it up and provides me an extra reminder to actually pick it up at my chosen Walgreens pharmacy.
And that’s what I love about Walgreens – they’ve already thought about the things that are going to make life easier for their customers. Through my online pharmacy account, I can manage my family’s prescriptions right from the convenient app or website. I can set up refill reminders, alerts when my prescriptions are ready and the app even has a pill reminder alert for scatter-brained mommies like me.
With three little ones, I’m usually very busy taking care of them. I often forget my daily iron pill – and if it don’t take it, I get even more run down. Not good. I simply use my app to set up a daily reminder for mid-morning. It helps me never miss a dose.
When I know that I can handle so much from one app and website, I’m able to rest-assured that even when I do forget something, it’s usually one click away from being ‘done.’ That allows me to spend more time with my family with less on my to-do list. And that makes me a happy & healthy mommy.
