I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for CVS/Pharmacy MinuteClinic. I received promotional items as a thank you for participating. #MC
Everyone has goals and resolutions for the new year. Some of the most common goals tend to revolve around health & wellness –whether it is to eat healthier, exercise, lose weight or quit smoking. For me, it’s adopting a healthier overall lifestyle and losing weight.
If you share similar goals, did you know that CVS MinuteClinic is there to help you reach your health and wellness goals with programs that you can take advantage of?
If you’re not familiar, CVS MinuteClinic helps to make health care easier. Staffed by family nurse practitioners and physician assistants, quality care is delivered every day, with evening and weekend hours located inside over 800 CVS/Pharmacy Stores across the nation. They accept insurance and, best of all, you do not need an appointment. You can just walk-in. The quality health care at my local MinuteClinic has helped me out more than once. I rest assured knowing that I have a location nearby.
With my positive experience with MinuteClinic, I was really excited to learn more about their wellness programs:
I took a look most closely at the Weight Loss Program. I was pleased to see that it’s a personalized program, providing ongoing coachign and medical supervision. It is based upon the popular DASH diet, which has been ranked #1 Overall Diet by U.S. News & World Report for three years in a row.
Some other key facts:
- The program is easy to follow, focuses on healthy eating and is clinically proven to promote weight loss. It also has the added benefit of lowering blood pressure and cholesterol.
- With your initial assessment, you’ll receive membership to DASH for Health, a great online resource for in-between visits to MinuteClinic.
- The Weight Loss Program is covered by most insurance plans, although MinuteClinic recommends that you contact your insurance company prior to visiting to verify coverage as well as any copays, co-insurance or deductibles.
