Recently, my family was invited to visit the Liberty Science Center and explore the many exhibits, including the traveing exhibits Bob the Builder – Project: Build It and Gridiron Glory – Pro Football Hall of Fame.
We took our four year old today and he had a great time. I was really happy with how easy it was for us to get to the Liberty Science Center and the ease of parking. Overall, the center is set up perfectly for kids, learning and exploration. We were able to just let my son explore and go at his own pace. Unlike traditional museums, it’s really geared towards hands-on experiential learning.
We loved all of the exhibits – especially the traveling Bob the Builder – Project: Build It exhibit. As a fan of the show, my son really enjoyed the interactive themes from the show. The exhibit is currently open and will continue until April 27, 2014.
My husband loved showing my son around the Gridiron Glory Pro Football exhibit. Aside from the really cool football artifacts, there was training camp activities set up to promote physical activity on authentic equipment. My husband loved the Hometown Heroes Zone – paying homage to his New York Giants and the New York Jets. This exhibit is open from now until March 2, 2014.
This museum is perfect for kids of varying ages and does not disappoint. For NYC/NJ/CT families, it’s an easy and fun learning experience.

Looks like a fun place to take young ones for the day!
So glad that there is funding available for things like science centers! It is wonderful to have educational tools that are entertaining as well.
