Disclosure: No compensation was received in exchange for this post. I received boxes of Kleenex Tissues to be donated to a school of my own choice. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My son headed off for his first day of school yesterday! As excited as both he and I were for the school year to begin, I also knew something else would begin….germ exposure! With one year old twins, I know their big brother will be coming home each day possibly sharing germs from school and I am NOT looking forward to it.
As a former teacher, tissues are present in classrooms, but the quality of those tissues are sometimes not great – thin and scratchy as I remember! I used to buy my own Kleenex tissues for my students when I was a teacher, choosing to take a pass on the budget box of tissues provided by the school. Why did I do this? A tissue is a tissue, right? Wrong.
Did you know that Kleenex Tissues can help prevent the spread of germs with the Sneeze Shield? A thicker, more absorbent tissue helps keep the wet stuff off of kids hands and in the tissue where it belongs. While kids should always be washing their hands after using a tissue, the less germs that are there to start – the better.
In addition to helping schools prevent the spread of germs, Kleenex is helping schools earn money. Kleenex brand is the only facial tissue to participate in the Box Tops for Education – donating $13MM to date! Every box of Kleenex tissue has 1 Box Top For Education which equates to 10 cents – trust me, these add up for schools!
We save Box Tops for our school from other brands and from Kleenex – and we know how much Box Tops helps our local school. And now, thanks to Kleenex, I can help support my son’s school. They’ve provided me with 10 boxes of tissues to donate and I’m thrilled to be able help the students and staff at my son’s school stay healthy this winter.
