The right hotel makes all the difference, but finding quality accommodations without overpaying can be a challenge. If you’re like me, I have high expectations of hotels I stay in. I want it all – and that’s why I love Embassy Suites. They get it. They know how their guests should be treated, but offer it at a reasonable rate!
I had the pleasure of staying at Embassy Suites in Parsippany, NJ and it was a perfect mini-getaway for my family. It came during a terrible heatwave in the area and the hotel was like an oasis in all the heat – especially the pool!
Our check-in experience was a positive one. I was greeted by a very friendly front-desk attendant and check-in was fast. My keys were given to me in a folder with all the information I needed for my stay – including details on the cooked to order breakfast in the morning and the manager’s reception – all included. We also received two vouchers for a free drink at the reception. Much appreciated by this mom!
The atrium of the hotel was beautiful. You felt as though you were outdoors as it was all open and airy. My son was a huge fan of the parrots and water features throughout. We spent so much time just letting him explore. And the glass elevators that overlook it all – the preschooler was a HUGE FAN. Me, I was a huge fan of how friendly everyone was and how clean and inviting the hotel was.
Our room was on the executive level and we needed our key to access the floor on the elevator – which I liked.
Upon arriving in the room, I was pleased that the thermostat had been pre-set for comfort during the super hot weather. The room was clean and I loved the set up. The main living room area had a table, couch and television which led to the mini-kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom was at the back of the suite, which is great for parents with small children. My kids go to bed by 7:30. After that, it’s my time to relax and unwind. With this suite’s set up, we were able to put the kids down and still stay up in the other room.
|Loved having a microwave – great feature – especially with young children!|
The bedroom had two queen beds that were super comfortable, with great linens and pillows. A must at a good hotel. The bedroom also had it’s own television and ample closet space.
|My son just LOVED this adorable towel elephant that was left on the bed! Such a nice touch!|
The bathroom had great counter space, which we need as a large family, and the provided plenty of towels for us. I also liked that the sink and vanity were in the actual bathroom, unlike some hotels where it is outside the room. My only criticism would be that I wished they had a larger tub.
My son’s favorite part of the hotel was the pool – it definitely ranked number one on his list, above the elevator and parrots! The pool and pool area was clean and well taken care of. I liked how the pool was indoors but there was a nice outdoor patio area just off the pool. Had it not been 100 degrees outside, it would have been nice to hang out outside in between dips in the pool.
Our stay was topped off by a great breakfast – we loved the omelet bar! It was better than what I expected from a complimentary breakfast. They definitely go above and beyond the typical ‘included’ breakfast!
For a family, Embassy Suites offers the perfect option. With the family friendly set up of the suites, the included made-to-order breakfast, manager’s reception and beautiful accommodations – Embassy Suites gives you more all for a great rate.
