I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Rosetta Stone. I received a product and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Since starting Kindergarten, my son has had so much growth and an interest in reading has been one of the positiev changes. Still, it’s a long road and having the right tools to help foster these skills is so important. In Kindergarten, kids are expected to know a lot – letters, sight words and so much more. In fact, did you know that more than 47% of U.S. children are below grade-level reading? In order to prevent this when it comes to being on grade level, I want to be sure I do all I can. As a former teacher, I know the importance of at home practice. Teachers do SO MUCH at school, but kids really need that extra practice and support at home. That’s why I was thrilled to hear about the Rosetta Stone Kids Reading program!
I had used Rosetta Stone to learn a language several years ago before a big trip to Europe. It was a great experience, so I trusted Rosetta Stone to do the same for my kids and reading. This program is designed for children aged 3-7. The program is both mobile and online – and is effective because it is engaging and fun! I’ve been happy with the core reading and literacy skills as a trained educator. And, most importantly, my son loves it and he’s become so much more confident with his abilities.
Some of the skills addressed are: Phoneme awareness, phonics skills, comprehension, fluncy, vocabulary and more.
I can also track my son’s progress in the parent section and see how he is doing. This is a great tool! My son asks to play his Rosetta Stone program and thinks it is a fun game. The program uses great positive reinforcement to move through the different levels, that are set up like a ‘land’ or ‘world.’
Even my almost three year old girls watch their big brother play. I know when they turn three, they’ll love playing, too!
Do you have a child that is at this level and ready to begin developing reading skills? If so, check out the Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program.
